Episode 25: Mirrors - Ruthie Mae McCoy and Myrtles Plantation OR the Accidental UMM Episode
We are back after a much needed mental health break and feeling refreshed and at least a little bit less explodey in the head! This week we tackle the creepy topic of Mirrors! Also, "Umm" accidentally became the word of the week so they are all in there, unedited, and if you are feeling particularly brave (or stupid) use it as a drinking game. Just know that we take absolutely NO responsibility for the level of drunk that you might happen to get. Our two stories are completely different yet have very similar themes, one of the main ones being BLACK LIVES STILL MATTER and we have been fucking it up as a country for YEARS. We head to 1980s Chicago and a dive into the terror of living in the projects with the tragic story of Ruthie Mae McCoy, or Miss Mae as she liked to be called. Then we make a total 180 turn and head to the Antebellum South splendor of the Myrtles Plantation which touts itself as the most haunted house in America. There do seem to be an awful lot of ghosty ghosts hanging around AND having their pictures taken. So get cozy, grab your favorite snack, and maybe turn any mirrors around as we jump into this weeks episode.
