Episode 27: Boxes - Colleen Stan, the Girl in the Box and The Dybbuk Box
It’s episode 27 and it is officially the beginning of Spoopy season and we are “unpacking” this week’s topic; Boxes. To make up for being dark last week we bring you an extra long episode that is a little salty and a whole lot rage-y. If you have ever thought about hitchhiking this week’s true crime story will hopefully change your mind. Yes, things were different in the 70s but take this life lesson from Lizza: hitchhiking leads to you dead and buried at a truck stop somewhere. Colleen Stan managed to avoid the death part but as the “Girl in the Box” her story is just as horrifying. Then to keep the horror train rolling we look at one of the creepiest haunted objects out there: the Dybbuk Box. Apparently “don’t ever open the box” can be interpreted in different ways by different people. What doesn’t seem to be interpreted differently is the horrible things that happen to them when they do. This week might require a drink, a blanket fort, a snuggle partner and sleeping with the lights on, so don’t say we didn’t warn you.
